Our History

Penguin Natural Foods, Inc. was founded in 1991. After traveling extensively through Asia and tasting superior blends of rice and grain mixes, Scott decided to bring these flavors back home with him. Penguin Foods launched initially with three flavored rice mixes, personally developed by Scott.

Soon thereafter, in 1993 Scott secured the private label rice business with a major grocery retailer and the business took shape. Penguin Natural Foods has since expanded into baking mixes, potato mixes, cornbreads, pastas, a full assortment of specialty rice blends, and most recently, the frozen food world of delicious ready-made microwave meals.
